Thick and rough skin on a person’s feet can truly make a person feel self-conscious and embarrassed. Dark calluses, cracked skin on toes, and uneven tones not only mar the appearance of a person’s feet, but they can also be painful on a daily basis. With a powerful pedi like Micro Pedi Power, a foot can be restored so that the skin is smooth and beautiful.
What are you buying?
The Micro Pedi Power is a strong handheld pedicure device that features anti-bacterial mineral rollers that spin rapidly around. These rollers work in a safe and effective way to buff off coarse skin, allowing beautiful and silky smooth skin to be revealed.
How easy is it to use?
This particular device is very easy to use. Emjoi is renowned for having very intuitive devices that are ready to go as soon as you pull them out of the box. With this particular Micro Pedi Power, you simply need to plug it in, make sure that you have some sort of bin or towel below you to catch the skin shavings, and turn it on.
The rollers will spin rapidly when you turn it on. Once they start spinning, all you need to do is gently press them against your foot. You can apply a little bit of pressure, however the rollers will stop if you apply too much.
What accessories are included?
This Micro Pedi Power by Emjoi features a fully corded pedicure device that has a three prong plug. It also comes with an additional anti-bacterial roller, a cleaning brush, an adapter, and a manual.
Key features of Micro Pedi Power
Pros
- Powerful – the cord allows this Micro Pedi to truly pull on the exact amount of power it needs to spin the rollers at the maximum speed. Unlike battery powered pedis, which often decrease in power due to weaker batteries or lack of a charge, this will remain at full power at all times.
- No more batteries – strong pedis that can actually remove thick callouses on your feet simply run through batteries like nothing. With this option, you’ll never have to deal with a battery change again!
- Safety stop mechanism – much like the other Emjoi pedis, this Micro Pedi Power also features a safety feature which stops the rollers when too much pressure is applied.
Cons
- Not portable – due to the cord you are restricted to a certain length from the plug. For anyone looking for more freedom, a cordless option is the best bet.
- More expensive – as this is the power version, this is also slightly more expensive than the battery operated pedi devices from Emjoi. At thirty-plus pounds, you’ll find that this is at the top of the price range as opposed to battery options at around ten pounds cheaper.
Anything else you should know?
This is a powerful corded Micro Pedi device from Emjoi that features a long cord with a three prong plug. It also has a handle that measures just under six inches which is perfect for those who are not very flexible. Another key feature is that this is an open roller pedi, meaning that you will have to have something under you during use to prevent your skin flakes from going everywhere.
Conclusion
Overall this is a favourite for individuals who want a strong and reliable pedi device to buff away troublesome skin on their feet. Despite being attached to a cord, this device is very powerful and will allow you to use it as frequently as you want without having to change a battery, worry about charge, or stress again. For those who do not mind the cord, you will end up saving money overall with this pedi due to never having to fuss with batteries.

Emjoi Micro Pedi Power Review
Summary
Micro Pedi Power will be favourite hard skin remover for those who who want a strong and reliable pedi device and don’t care that much about portability and lightweight design.
Thank you for your wonderful reviews comparing the various products on offer, you have saved me a lot of time and money. Following you reviews I purchased Micro Pedi Power Pedicure Device as I wanted something both powerful and cost effective. I’d been searching for an electrical, opposed to battery operated device, for some time and was frustrated that some products advertise themselves as ‘electric’ when in fact they are battery operated.
This device is not only effective at removing hard skin but saves money on batteries and the time it takes to replace them.
I have read reviews that state that many pedi devices stop working if too much pressure is applied however I believe the trick is to be patient and not hope for instant results by pressing too hard, if your feet have a large build up or callouses but rather gradually remove the skin over a period a days and then keep up a regular routine once most of it is removed, remembering to apply a good cream containing urea (which softens and promotes healing in damaged skin).
As you mention the only downside to the MPPP Device is that it’s not as portable but it still fits in a suitcase for holiday and there is usually a plug nearby, just remember to have a towel to hand to avoid the mess.
Update:
For those concerned that the MPPP Device is not portable, I have since discovered the Emjoi Micro Pedi Power ‘Professional’, which is a rechargeable cordless device. It has all the features of the above MPPP Device but it mounts to a charging base, similar to a cordless toothbrush. It has the added benefit of being supplied with the Extreme Coarse Micro-Mineral Roller as well as the Extra Course. It also comes with a handy travel pouch. It costs around £10 more than the above device but is currently on offer on their website £39.95 (July 2015).
However personally I’m not sure how much I would trust the longevity of the charging base, based on my experiences with cordless toothbrushes. The MPPD (above) cuts out the ‘middle man’, so despite its non portability it may last longer.
Perhaps PediReviews authors could trial it over a period of time to test its reliability?
Thanks Jill! Very helpful comments, indeed. We have reviewed the Micro Pedi Professional device a few weeks ago and you can find the review on our website. However, it was actually the first generation of the Pro pedi. As you said, Emjoi has just introduced a newer version of the Pro device which is re-chargeable. I’m looking forward to review it in the coming weeks. The original Pro device was one the better pedis on the market in terms of functionality, so I’m sure the improved version is even better. It’s a premium pedi, so the price tag is higher but you pay for the quality.
Great! I look forward to reading your review. I think the device will be very similar (specs are the same) to the MPPD above, so it will be more a case of how reliable the charging base is. It would be great if it proved it stood the test of time, as you would have all the benefits of the latter with the convenience of it being portable, as well as rechargeable.
Interestingly in my quest for a powerful device I’ve discovered that the Emjoi Micro Pedi ‘Tornado’ has been released in the US but still not available here in the UK (unless you want to pay heavy duty fees importing it from ebay).
It’s even more powerful, a “Ground-breaking 2 speed device” and “rollers spin at 360 degrees, up to 47 times per second”, faster than the 30 times per second of the two mentioned above.
Hopefully it will land on our shores soon until then I’ll try the ‘Extreme’ coarse rollers with this device.
Not being portable does not work for me. I understand having to pay more for the product, because that is just how it works sometimes. In general, the more a product costs, the better quality it is, right?
