It is imperative to give your feet some TLC as soon as you get home. Sure, going to a fancy salon is great, but it may be so damn expensive, and there is a slight chance of getting a fungal infection.
Buying your own foot care equipment and pedicure treatment not only saves you money, but is also safer and more convenient. Here’s my experience with the JML Pedi Pro Deluxe.
JML Pedi Pro Deluxe review
What I like
- Pedicure accessories
- User friendly
What I don’t like
- Stops if too much pressure
- Collecting tray too small
- Drains batteries too fast
What are you buying?
The Pedi Pro Deluxe JML pedicure is a small, professional and colourful electronic pedicure treatment that sits cosy in the palm of your hands. The JML Pedi Pro boasts of a high-speed rotating head with 2 settings that is lined with hundreds of extra fine crystal for removing the calluses and dead skin on the feet.
In addition to a built-in shaving collector tray, this particular home pedicure treatment has an endless array of features that seem great initially, but reveal their true nature once you get down to business.
While the Pedi Pro is among the cheapest pedicure treatments in the market, this is another case of getting exactly what you paid for.
First off, the product claims that it can handle even the toughest nails and calluses on your feet. However, the rotating head is a bit disappointing, even at the highest setting. It makes a feeble attempt at grinding away, but once you lean in and apply more pressure to get a finer, smoother grind, it stops! I understand that this is supposed to be a safety feature, but the electronic rotating head is not all that powerful or even unsafe to begin with.
Secondly, the manufacturer claims that the built-in storage tray catches all shavings leaving your house mess free. It clearly seems that the collecting tray was mean for kids with small feet because it gets all the dust and shavings on the floor, making cleanup a nightmare. This could be due to the awkwardly positioning and shape of the head that only seems to reach flat areas.
However, the 6 included buffing pads and cleaning brush work great to ensure you get all those problematic areas.
How easy is it to use?
The Pedicure Heel Buffer Pedi Pro Feet Sanding Deluxe Care Smooth JML is relatively easy to use, but there a few aspects that make using it a real headache.
When you purchase this product, you have to open it up and install a set of batteries. It might have been just my personal experience, but opening it and setting the pedicure up is a tad difficult and painstaking. But once you get it running, the operation is a breeze.
The additional items make it worthwhile since the 6 buffing pads and cleaning brush let you take the pedicure a little further.
There is also a neat collection tray for storing the shavings and clippings, but it requires very careful operation so as not to make a mess on the floor. After using it, just dump the shavings away and clean the collection tray thoroughly.
What accessories are included?
Upon purchasing the product, you should find the following items in the box:
- JML Pedi Pro Deluxe
- Stainless steel shaving disk
- Shaving tray
- Buffing disk
- 6 Buffing pads
- Cleaning brush
- Carry pouch
JML Pedi Pro Deluxe key features
- Comes with an exciting array of pedicure accessories.
- Very customer friendly and affordable.
- Rotating head stops when too much pressure is applied.
- Collecting tray is too small and ineffective.
- Drains batteries at an alarming rate.
Anything else you should know?
Most customers also complain that the shaving disks and rotating head come to a standstill when you apply too much pressure or if your feet are really hard and callused. Now, while the Pedi Pro does not come with batteries, this weakness has been attributed to using less powerful batteries. Make sure you buy 4 heavy duty batteries to experience the optimum strength of the Pedi Pro.
The Pedi Pro Deluxe is ideal for people just looking to play around a bit with a home pedicure. It is not only very cheap but also makes a decent attempt at cleaning out the soles. However, if you are looking for something that will get the job done thoroughly and more efficiently, this might not be the product for you.
There are much better and more functional home hard skin remover alternatives available on the market, but you’ll have to cough up a little extra to enjoy the luxury.
