Review of the Revitive LV Circulation Booster

Revitive LV is the first circulation booster that I have ever tested, and I didn’t really know what to expect when I started. So I asked my 83 year old grandmother to help me with the review. She suffers from swollen feet, poor circulation and mobility and has owned few circulation boosters in the past.

We both agreed that Revitive LV is a good choice for people who want to buy their first circulation booster to essentially test what it is and what it does. Continue reading to find out more.

What are you buying?

When you have a busy lifestyle, whether you are sedentary or on your feet all day, the result can be achy, tired, heavy feeling legs. Revitive LV is a drug-free effective, easy and affordable therapy option for people who suffer from swelling, aches and pains in the feet and lower legs.

This well designed, pink and white unit looks very feminine and is primarily marketed at women. The device is as simple to use as a standard foot massager or footbath, and it delivers great results in only half an hour a day. It has two rubber, very soft pads to place your feet on with an on/off switch in between.

Revitive LV is a medical device that provides electrical muscle stimulation (EMS) to contract and relax the muscles in your feet and lower legs. This action helps produce better blood circulation and reduces swelling and achiness in the feet and lower legs.

The vast majority of users from retailers’ websites express complete satisfaction, and those who do have concerns mostly say that they simply had a little trouble getting used to the device.

How easy is it to use?

It’s very easy to use Revitive LV. You just plug the device in, sit in a comfortable position and place your feet on the rubber foot rests. You can adjust the intensity level of the electrical impulses by using the “plus” and “minus” buttons. These are large and easy to see as well as being very easy to use. In fact, you can operate them with your toes!

The LV offers eight wave form options and intensity levels from 1 to 50. You should choose the level at which you can see your leg muscles contracting and relaxing.

One thing I didn’t like about Revitive LV compared to Revitive CX is that it doesn’t allow you to set the timing freely between 1 and 60 minutes. Timing is simply fixed to deliver a thirty minute programme. You can indeed turn the machine back on after 30 minutes or turn it off when it suits you.

LV does not have a remote control like CX or IX but has a very well designed and easy reachable control panel. You don’t need to bend over the machine to change the intensity – you can change the power settings just with your foot.

During my first session, I must admit that I had to turn it up quite high (35 out of 50), before I began to feel anything. However as the session progressed, I experienced muscle contraction moving up my feet and legs, which were very soothing. In a week time, 30 minutes of pleasant tingling while sitting at a computer or watching TV became a nice routine.

What accessories are included?

Here is what you will find when you open the Revitive LV box:

  • One Revitive LV device
  • One power adapter
  • A user manual
  • A one-year warranty

Key features of Revitive LV Circulation Booster

Pros

  • Good value for money – the Revitive LV is a good value. Saves money on trips to the physiotherapist.
  • Design – the device is well-made, sturdy and very nice looking.
  • Easy to use – it is easy to use and effective.

Cons

  • Only 12 month warranty – shorter warranty than Revitive CX and IX offer doesn’t provide enough comfort.
  • Less functionalities compared to other Revitive models – we miss some features of Revitive CX and IX (e.g. remote control)
  • Less powerful – the power setting on LV goes up to 50 rather than 99 on the other Revitive models (it is true that most people rarely use the power levels above 50). Also, although the actual stimulation gets stronger as the session progresses, it does not get as strong as the IX or CX boosters.

Anything else you should know?

The Revitive LV is a genuine medical device that was created and developed in the UK. It has been proven in studies to be effective and safe when used as directed to help healthy people improve lower leg circulation, alleviate discomfort and decrease swelling in the ankles and feet.

There’s a bit of a learning curve! Different people have different levels of tolerance for the electrical impulses. Be sure to experiment with the settings to find just the right level to suit you.

TIP: If you put lotion on your feet before you start, it does increase the effect.

I know that circulation boosters in general are not everyone’s cup of tea. It takes some patience to get used to the electrical impulse sensation and some users report a “pins and needles” sensation after use. Although the tingling sensation can be alarming at first, you can definitely get used to it but I would advise against giving the Revitive as a gift if you are hoping to pamper the recipient.

You should not use this device during the first trimester of pregnancy, but it is deemed safe during the second and third trimesters. Nonetheless, you should consult your obstetrician before use.

If you have the vein thrombosis (DVT) or have an AICD or pacemaker, you should not use this device at all.

Conclusion

In sum, as someone who stands up for over 10 hours a day, I really think that the Revitive LV Circulation Booster is an excellent investment in health and well-being. Especially for those who are on their feet all day or who suffer poor circulation due to a sedentary lifestyle.

The device is well-made and easy to use although I miss some of the features that Revitive CX and Revitive IX have. If you haven’t had a circulation booster before, you may want to start with the LV model which is affordable and yet provides a good range of functionalities.
